In Iraq, IRD/Blumont’s Camp Coordination Camp Management (CCCM) mobile teams work with local camp officials throughout the Anbar province to develop their capacity to manage camps and settlements and to better respond to the needs of residents.

This photo comes from the UNHCR Bzeibiz Camp where there are currently 1,897 households (a total of 11,328 individuals). These numbers are the result of a massive migration of people through the Kirkuk province to the Bzeibiz Camp recently due to political reasons, primarily sparked by the last ISIS attacks targeting the province.

Our mobile CCCM team visits the camp to conduct weekly coordination meetings in which they develop and discuss the performance of camp managers and management teams. Additionally, protection officers meet with camp residents to discuss their rules and support awareness activities which help to provide a better, safer lifestyle for the women and children living in the camp. An assigned protection officer follows up with protection cases as well.
