As ongoing fighting has cut off the main supply routes to southern Syria, it has become particularly hard for residents to find affordable, child-specific clothing items.

Since the onset of the conflict, the prices of winter items have increased by 200%-400% in Dar’a and Quneitra, depending on the village. Therefore, the provision of child clothing kits not only increased the availability of scarce goods, but also freed up a significant portion of families’ income, allowing them to purchase other much needed items. IRD distributed Winter Clothing Kits provided by UNICEF to 10,000 beneficiary families in 7 villages in Dar’a Governorate, including Aliya, Nimer, Basur Esh-Sham, Tiba, Malihat El Atash, Eastern Ghariyeh and Yadoudeh.
منذ بداية الصراع ازدادت اسعار الملابس الشتويّة بنسبة ٢٠٠ الى ٤٠٠ بالمائة في درعا والقنيطرة من قرية الى اخرى. لهذ فان امدادهم بمجموعات ملابس لم يقتصر على توفير السلع النادرة بل وفر لهم أيضا قدرا كبيرا من دخل العائلة سامحا لهم باشتراء اشياء اخرى هم فى حاجة ماسة إليها. لقد قامت منظمة الإغاثة والتنمية الدولية (اى ار دى) بتوزيع مجموعات ملابس شتوية قدمت من طرف اليونيسف لعشرة آلاف عائلة منتفعة في سبع قرى فى محافضة درعا بما في ذلك عالية ونمر وبصر الشام والطيبة ومليحات العطش والغارية الشرقية واليادودة
