Through the Waati Yelema Labenw project in Mali, Blumont is helping vulnerable communities adapt to a changing climate that threatens to affect livelihoods and reduce economic opportunities.

The community-based approach aims to build resiliency to climate shocks with adoption of climate-smart agriculture practices, improved resource management, and empowered, informed decision-making.
Efforts in 30 communities in 10 municipalities across the Sahel region of Mali have reached more than 264,000 people. A new video produced by Blumont and partners highlights the achievements of Waati Yelema Labenw and how progress in climate-smart villages is being shared to expand the impact of interventions and encourage broader adoption of new practices.
The project is funded by Building Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Extremes and Disasters (BRACED), a UKAid effort to help communities become more resilient to climate extremes. Additional information on Blumont’s work in Mali can be found here.
