The First Palestine International Water Forum took place June 25 to June 28 in Ramallah, Palestine.
The Forum provided a space for individuals and organizations to learn about tools, technologies and best practices for using integrated water resources management (IWRM) to achieve water security. It was carried out under the slogan “Integrated Water Resources Management: Best Practices and Technology Transfer.”
Blumont, the only US company that participated, hosted a booth at an exhibition that was set up at the Forum.
Mr. Mazen Gheneim, the Minister/Head of the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA) was present at the event and expressed his gratitude to Blumont, explaining that the PWA is currently carrying out the largest two Water Task Orders progressing on the ground which are both implemented by Blumont. He also expressed his appreciation to Blumont for its professionalism and teamwork during the execution of the two complex Task Orders and previous water Task Orders, especially under the challenging site conditions in Gaza and during the harsh political conditions the area has witnessed since the beginning of the year.

The Infrastructure Needs Program (INP) focuses on large-scale infrastructural projects including rehabilitating road networks, building major water facilities, constructing water distributing systems, developing wastewater facilities and constructing schools and other infrastructure. The program constructs and rehabilitates critical infrastructure that promotes economic growth and improves the quality of life for Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. INP is funded by USAID.
