Blumont’s Wejdan Jarrah, program director, spoke recently at the Peace and Sport International Forum in Monaco, which highlighted concrete initiatives and high-impact recommendations to put sport at the service of global peace.
The forum’s 10th special edition took place December 6-8 and hosted 680 participants from more than 90 countries. With more than 20 workshops, sessions, activities and discussions, the forum facilitated conversations about social innovation, sport as a driving force for creative expression, urban regeneration and more.
Jarrah participated in a panel to discuss “building effective and sustainable partnerships,” bringing her expertise as a Program Director at Blumont to the stage. Peace and Sport President and Founder Joël Bouzou said Jarrah offered valuable insight to forum participants.
“I would like to thank you for your contribution in the organization of this exceptional Forum,” Bouzou said in a letter. “Your presence as speaker served as guidance to all stakeholders involved in the sport for development and peace movement.”
Overall, Bouzou said the forum has helped kickstart and invigorate the peace through sport movement.
“The desire for change and world peace among the people who have attended the Forum this year has been incredible,” Bouzou said on the Peace and Sport website. “I want to thank everyone for their meaningful input, and I am excited to build upon the foundations that have been laid here.”
