Ahmad Shamasneh

Deputy Country Director, Iraq & Syria

Ahmad oversees all financial management and administrative functions for Blumont projects across Iraq and Northeast Syria. He provides strategic guidance and support for administrative functions including procurement and logistics, while ensuring consistent adherence to financial reporting requirements, policies, and procedures.

Ahmad has more than fourteen years of operations and financial management experience in international development and humanitarian aid contexts, and has expertise in implementation and government relations in the MENA region, particularly Iraq, Syria and Yemen. Prior to joining Blumont in March of 2021, he worked with Global Communities on several USAID-funded projects.

Ahmad holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and International Business Administration degree from the Hashemite University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Leicester, UK. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
