Lana Al Maani

Program Manager, Smart Desert

Lana brings more than fifteen years of experience to her management of the Smart Desert Project in Jordan. She provides technical direction and manages program officers and partner representatives to organize, design, and implement home-based business awareness sessions, trainings, and other events. Lana is responsible for establishing and facilitating linkages between local Jordanian firms and home-based businesses, with the goal of assessing and completing partnership agreements. She coordinates with local municipalities and officials to ensure home-based businesses are compliant with local requirements and helps program participants secure registration and licensing. Lana is also responsible for program budget management and all necessary reporting.

Prior to joining Blumont in February of 2021, Lana worked at the Arab Women Enterprise Fund, where she managed the implementation of DFID-funded poverty alleviation interventions. Her role included direct participation in community-based activities, identifying market opportunities for women in the program, building stakeholder relationships, financial management, and monitoring and evaluation.

Lana has a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Amman, Jordan.
