Blumont Receives International Stability Operations Association (ISOA) Award for Work in Syria

ARLINGTON, VA. — Blumont has been recognized with the 2026 Mission Impact Award from the International Stability Operations Association (ISOA) for its work supporting displaced populations, recovery, and stabilization in Syria.

“This award reflects the exceptional work of our teams in Syria, who have navigated difficult conditions and constant change while continuing to deliver results,” said Jonathan Nash, President and CEO of Blumont. “Throughout our years in Syria, as needs have shifted and new opportunities emerged, we’ve found ways to keep moving forward and take on new challenges. I’m proud of our teams’ commitment and what they’ve accomplished alongside communities, local leaders, and partners.”

As Syria entered a political transition in December 2024, Blumont drew on its established operations in the country to continue supporting displaced populations and expand recovery efforts. The activities recognized by this award include work in displacement camps and collective centers serving more than 60% of the displaced population in the northeast region of Syria, including Al-Hol and Roj camps. Blumont maintained essential services, addressed protection concerns, and supported the repatriation of more than 21,100 Iraqis in 2025.

At the same time, Blumont supported reintegration of Syrians returning to communities by facilitating access to services and rehabilitating critical infrastructure, including hospitals and water systems. Together, these efforts addressed immediate needs while helping create the conditions for longer-term stability.

The work recognized by this award was supported by the U.S. Government, the German Federal Foreign Office, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and the Danish International Development Agency.

Blumont continues working with Syrian authorities and communities to restore essential services, develop local recovery plans, and support government-led reintegration efforts.

The award will be presented during ISOA’s 25th Anniversary Global Summit on November 17, 2026.
