Recently, a delegation from the Education Department of Balochistan visited with Blumont’s Sindh Community Mobilization Program (CMP) team to learn from their experiences implementing education reform in Pakistan’s Sindh province.
The delegation, headed by Mr. Noor Ul Haq Baloch, Secretary Education, Government of Balochistan, learned about CMP’s experience working with Education Management Organizations (EMOs) and coordinating Public Private Partnerships in Sindh public sector schools.

CMP’s efforts, implemented under the USAID-funded Sindh Basic Education Program (SBEP), helped inform similar efforts by Balochistan’s Department of Secondary Education. Their EU/UNICEF-funded Balochistan Basic Education Program (BBEP), a €7.4 million program, began in 2017 and is slated to run three years.

CMP is a USAID-funded program that supports the Government of Sindh’s education reform and USAID’s Sindh Basic Education Program. CMP improves school resources and encourages community support for educational reform in Sindh province while identifying and addressing primary barriers to access, particularly for female students.
